So they tend to burn through convoy cards quickly anyway, leading to this card usually coming too late, or being too early to really make use of the discarding effect. If Living Shield gave HP instead that could be pretty significant.įear Campaign(Leader discards 1 convoy card when enemy is killed): Removing convoy cards can be great, but 90% of the enemies spam units. Healing wounds is very restricted and infrequent for me to consider cards like these. Living Battery/Living Shield(Sacrifice follower and gain energy/armor): These cards are essentially AI only, because deliberately wounding followers is hardly EVER going to be worth gaining armor, a bit more arguable for energy. ![]() Every other 6-cost convoy card provides something great at no risk, except this one. You essentially pay 6 and either the lancer kills the wrong unit, and is now weak enough to die to an easy trade, dies while also killing the wrong target(even worse), or kills the one you were hoping for. Lancer(Fury: Attack a random enemy): Very strong, but its effect will usually mean it kills itself. Only a couple other 5 cost cards are that weak, and they have powerful effects to make up for it. Especially being a 5 cost and only offering 4/3. Would be a good fury effect for the few times the AI buffs to keep a unit alive at 1 hp. Hired Gun(Revenge: Destroy all injured enemies): Bad effect for Revenge, especially with the AI happily suiciding, there just isn't more than maybe 1 or 2 injured followers most of the time. Maybe lose attack instead, or a hope penalty when it's wounded in battle(disillusioned)? Going through the collection.just a few that pop out at me.įanatic(Take 2 damage when it takes damage): Value is amazing but losing 2 leader health whenever it takes damage is dangerous, so I usually avoid it. ![]()
